The Breunion Boys are the European boyband on a mission to win Britain back. Born out of the heartbreak of the 2016 referendum we are filling the void, voicing how millions of Europeans feel about Brexit: 'We want our baby back!'

With our first single Britain come back we brought some light to a debate that has become so harsh and entrenched in the past 2 years. Our message got picked up massively, proving it is a much needed contribution. We believe it is important to show that there is always a way back, we belong together and 'it's not too late to remain'

Supporting our crowdfunding helps us getting our message out there through performances and dialogue.

'We believe the political debate around brexit and the EU is in need

of some sexiness.'

As brexit is edging closer, but clarity is nowhere to be found, we are contemplating our future, and that of the EU.

If Britain leaves after all, the rest of Europe needs to stick together and start work on bettering our flawed Union.

'We cannot deny, we made mistakes, we had a rocky start -ups and downs'

We as the Breunion Boys want to find out what the European Union really means to people throughout the continent. How it affects daily lives and what the European identity is.

The real deal

In response to the vote in parliament on Theresa May's withdrawal agreement, we released our second single: The Real Deal. The song expresses how we feel about Theresa's situation: she tried hard, but there is only one Real Deal in town, and that is being part of the European Union!

About the project

Britain Come Back

Our first single Britain come back is a heartfelt plea to Britain. We want to say please. Come back

Breunion Boys is created by Julia Veldman c (www.juliaveldmanc.nl)  out of the desperate need to do something about Brexit. 'It's like in a relationship, if your partner suddenly tells you they're leaving, without an explanation and you don't even get the chance to respond.'

The answer from the European side disappointed her. 'The decision to vote leave was an emotional one, we should take that seriously. We’re not going to win them back with reason or threats, we have to listen to them, and show them how we feel.'

So she decided to take up the task herself.  'What better than to use the language of the best the UK ever gave us, the boyband, to win them back? If this doesn't work, nothing will'

Julia is a visual storyteller.

Britain come back and The real deal are written and composed by Flavia Faas, Music and movement director.

The videoclip is directed by Thessa Meijer.

And produced by July Film.

Breunion Boys is not sponsored by the European Union or any political group. Supported by Verspers en Aced, AFK and woutkunstenfonds

We still like talking about brexit, however fatigued others seem to be. Because it is in no way over, whatever happens on brexit day. It is only the beginning. And if we don't keep talking about it, our interests won't be taken into consideration. That is why we put together a half hour show with boy band covers, our own songs and stories. We want to know how you feel about this break up.
